The "coconut guy" came over a few days back to trim the trees and harvest the coco's. He climbs the trees bare feet with no harness or a rope around the tree; the trees are 35 to 40 feet tall. All he carries up with him is a rope and machete. Takes him about 30 minutes per tree. His fee is 50 pesos a tree (about $4.25) US and about 10 coco's.
We got about 80 cocos from the 2 trees, they will be full again in about 9 months.
